Les Gilbert is a real life ‘rags to riches story’. His career started in the street markets of East London in the 80’s and today he owns and controls an eight figure residential and commercial property portfolio based in London and the south east.
Having founded and developed numerous successful niche retail concepts, he has also sold a number of businesses, the most recent of which had a turnover in excess of 10 million per annum and employed over two hundred staff. He was involved in creating the ‘Pound store’ concept and was also the founder of the first ever ‘Christmas Store’ and ‘Firework Factory’.
Although Les has specialised in discount concepts and his area of expertise is in residential and retail property, with 30 years experience as a serial entrepreneur and countless successful ventures behind him, his skills in business are wide and varied.
